Come join the Carolina Actuarial Student Organization for our first event of the 2018-2019 school year! We will start off with an introduction to the actuarial profession and information about how you can prepare to work in the field while at UNC. Then, we will hand it off to two practicing actuaries who will discuss the significant changes in the actuarial credentialing process occurring right now. Kramer Howell is a near-FSA with Global Bankers Insurance Group in the RTP, and Matt Beamon is a UNC alum who is pursuing the casualty exams at NC Farm Bureau in Raleigh. Whether you can use Excel like a pro or don’t know the difference between an actuary and an accountant, this meeting will have something for you; all experience levels and class years are welcome.
